| Doc, could you tell a big difference between the good bellies and the poor ones. Would you happen to know if any of your good ones were female? Thanks for the info. Real curious to see how Fallon goes. Our sale isn't until second weekend of March, hope that's not too late and all orders are already filled. | |

| I could tell the differences. Casty or titty are bad. They don't even care if they have a back or if it's spotted or mousy. I think you could just sell belly strips now and make mittens from the back fur.
All 4 of the "good" ones were female. Males and one titty belly in the bad pile. The 42" one was in the bad pile.
Put up matters. He commented on our good put up and while we watched he dissed bad put up to their faces. We scrubbed with borax on outside after the pictures above. They like flexible pelts. I learned that my fancy dancy brushing to widen the white doesn't matter because the truth outs when they snap the pelt. But cleaning and brushing sure made them happy.

| See everyone in Fallon. If you will be there Saturday and plan to come to the lunch, let me know. I have quite a few people wanting to know what they can bring for the pot luck lunch. Send me a pm and I can give you a list to choose from. | |

| Cameron very nice. What's your favorite lure for those greys? Been using lard ,bacon grease and honey but looks like you have the secret. Good luck this weekend. Hope you have good news come Monday! | |

| Nice job Cameron! Let me know if you need a hand with anything for pot luck or help hauling that fur in. My son and I would be glad to help. My wife will be making a batch of cookies for the pot luck lunch. | |

In early fall, I think a good bait is better than a lure. I usually just trap grays the first week or 10 days of November and rely heavily on the baits you mentioned (along with a bait made of jack mackerel). However, every fox set gets a dab of PRCC or Purrfect. I think those two lures are tops for greys in my area. | |
