Hooked up 1 yesterday FINALLY!!!! Days are getting longer the more i look for new country!! We ran 14 hrs and 300 miles last check. Did find some good looking country with sign in it. So now it the waiting game!!

I have now become a great trapper!!! Caught 3 more this last run ( Cougers that is) I am sending them all to you guys down there in Nevada! That makes 8 this year. I have left signs on my sets telling all long tails must relocate to Nevada at once. Jim (aka) Puma pincher king

Wow! 8 lions that's crazy. If western states wildlife officials don't start managing there lion population better we are going to have huge problem. It we don't already. Lions have to kill lots of bobcats, especially the young one. Nevada and Oregon have the biggest problem from spill over from California's over abundance of lions and lack of food.

Yes, We have a problem! no matter where you go in my area the lions have moved in, We cannot use dogs in Oregon to hunt lions but you can use them to hunt bobcats. Does not make any sense at all. The game wardens always say who is to say if you start on a bobcat and finish on a lion. I said they would because they would have to write you a ticket. Our deer and sheep are really taking a hit now. Oh well maybe I will pinch 10 before the end of season!

Oh but as sportsmen we have no idea what we are talking about when it comes to wildlife management. Fellers we are all about one law away from Utopia, and then we will all be saved from ourselves in that place. Except here in Utopia Colorado you can smoke dope, guess that's suppose to help ease the pain.

Got 4 cats ready for the tagging. Not going to sell but makes it a little smoother on sale day. Slow year but have been lucky that all the cats I have caught have been nice. Smallest one is 38"" />

There are no lions, Just ask the houndsman . They drive up a rode don't see a track, so there Automatically no lions..Nice cats Bucks....and put up..congrats.

Bucks, nice cats and you did a great job on the put up. Nvsage, those are some nice looking coyotes and reds. Tumbling the pelts really makes them look good, good luck in Colorado!

Finally, one month later caught another cat. Darn what a long dry spell! When I walked up to the the set the cat was sleeping, when she woke up I thought she was gonna pull out when she hit the end of the chain! I'll post put up pictures tomorrow, hitting the sack tonight. Trap check tomorrow at 4:30 am so I can get to school on time. Hopefully the snow gods deliver on this storm hitting northern Nevada, we need some white stuff on the ground.

Ya, started using them this year. I use freeze proof soil mixed with ant hill sand and it seems to work okay. I had the worst time figuring out how to effectively attach the shingles to the pan in the past. I just never liked it, but there are tons of people out there that use them. Rockytrails was the gentleman that showed me the idea last year at the Fallon fur sale. Plus it gives the cat something to play with!

Nice cat! The cats do seem to like to play with shelf liner covers once caught. I have noticed they like to bite a chunk out of them.

Rockytrails tought me everything I know about putting up fur and is a good friend of mine. Damn good cat trapper as well.

Harris Ya we talk almost every day. Love that they are doing good this year. They come and stay with me during the fur sale. Might have to charge rent this year!! HA HA.

Guess I need glasses as I copied the picture and pasted to my desk top. expanded it up and went over it inch by inch and still didn't see the rabbit. If I was a cat, I guess I'd starve.
