| Attached is the link to the Agenda and all the support material for this weekend's meeting in Tonopah. This will be the final vote on the trap visitation "and all other issues" pertaining to trapping that the Trapping Regulation Committee has been fiddling with for the last year or so. Notice that the trapping item is the second to the last item on the Saturday agenda, so its difficult to say when it will be heard exactly. Also, notice the maps now say "Committee Approved" on them, so basically the vote will be if they want 24 hour visitation in the areas on the maps.

| They certainly don't make it easy for people to make plans. So, the "other" items are education and demerits? It looks like the recommended seasons for gray fox and cats are shortened to Dec 1-Feb 21. I wish they had biologist findings posted to support that. | |

| We all need to attend this meeting in Tonopah. The important items are on Saturday. Take time to attend this meeting. I'm coming from Ely and have room for two more. I'm going over Friday and camping at the sportsmen park north of town and then return to Ely Saturday night. PM me if you need a ride. I hope to see you all there. | |

| Hey folks,
Just a heads up . . . looks like the Tonopah meeting will be a barn burner. The antis are lighting up the email boxes of the Wildlife Commissioners . . . asking for 48 hour trap check across the state. And our side is . . . . asleep. Snoozing. Doing nothing. Not saying anything nor doing anything.
I dunno . . . maybe Nevada trappers want a 48 or 24 hour trap check.
We gotta get off our collective duffs and get in the game. We are at the 5 yard line and we've kind of gone to sleep. Lets make one last push and kill this thing once and for all.

| Hey Tracy , My plan of being at the meeting in Tonopah can't happen we are preparing for a Football Camp up at SUU in Cedar City . I just fired off another email this one to the Commission. I will attach it here tell me what you think. I should see ya'll at the Roundy..
Tonopah Wildlife Commission Mtg. Fred Schmidt 9:51 PM To: JACK ROBB, JEREMY DREW, KAREN LAYNE, DAVID MCNINCH, CHAD BLISS, MICHAEL MCBEATH, PETER MORI, GRANT WALLACE, BILL YOUNG iskngrz@hotmail.com Greetings Wildlife Commission members, 6/18/2014
I am sending you this email to express my thoughts concerning the upcoming meeting in Tonopah on June 20,21 .
It is my hope that as a collective body that is appointed to Maintain the Welfare of the " Wildlife" of this great state .
And Not appointed to Cower to the Emotions and Unfounded Claims of those Groups or Individuals that think it's " Icky"
that Predators or any Animal population is Harvested, or other wise maintained, based on Proven Science as well as Proven
Practices.
Thereby insuring the Balance of that particular species or any other species that are directly or indirectly impacted by their
presence in a particular Habitat or Given Area of our state.
As the discussion of Trap visitation as well as Areas open to trapping are undertaken please Make these decisions based on the
data provided by Biologist that have boots on the ground in Nevada. Not based on Cries from Groups or Individuals that are
Not Responsible Pet Owners and break current Nevada Statutes by Not Obeying "Leash Laws" .
As Nevadans we All need to coexist whether an Individual is "Anti" or "Pro" Trapping or Hunting.
But If this Decision is made to Appease a Small faction of Individuals that feel that Nevada Law (ie; Leash Law) Does Not apply to
them. Nor does the Welfare of the "Wildlife" of Nevada. It would be a Complete misrepresentation of the Purpose of this
Commission.
The Commission is appointed to maintain the Welfare of Nevada "Wildlife" NOT Domestic Animals .. Those Domestic Animals are
the responsibility of their Owners and Regulated by County Animal Control. Unless Those Domestic Animals pose an Adverse
Impact on the Wildlife of Nevada.
An Unattended Pet or a Feral Dog or Cat being caught in a Trap is the Responsibility of that Negligent Pet Owner. Further more
If it is a Feral Dog or Cat , these animals DO pose a problem for Nevada Wildlife and The Trapper has therefor helped protect
the Wildlife of Nevada. Thereby being a Very Important Instrument in the Mission of The Nevada Wildlife Commission.
As a resident of Nye Co. specifically Pahrump . I am concerned with maps designating areas of Nye on the Spring Mtn Range as
"Restricted " when these areas are not a "Heavy Use Recreational Area" , Except by Trappers and Hunters.
I only speak of this area because I have personal knowledge of it. I'm sure there are other areas in our state that the same applies. It was my intent to attend this meeting however at this time my commitment to coaching Football at our local HS will have us
heading to Utah for a Football Camp.
Thank You in advance for your decisions based on the Intent of the Nevada Wildlife Commission ..
Sincerely Fred Schmidt | |

| Couldn't help but read about the wild horse issue............."Wild Horses have been a integral part of the land scape and heritage of Nevada" Since when did Feral Horses become a"Heritage of Nevada"
Since they are so important I believe that every state should share in this great Heritage.
