Well, today was the last day of cat season, and I finally remembered to take the camera along. Caught a 31lb. female in the second to the last trap. If I knew how to post a picture to this site, I would post it. I had a good full foot catch on her and the wife went with me for the first time this season and got to see the cat in the trap. Hope everyone has or is having a good season, but its lights out for me. Looking forward to next year and by then having a fourwheeler to cover lots of country where nobody is trapping.

Thanks Bucksnbows. She measured out at 41". Couldn't get that extra inch out of her. She had an average belly but had good spots all over and was nice and pale.

Did u see the top cat at the Nephi UT sale was 1137$$$$ Good job on your cat!!

Wow, 1137 for one cat! This one doesn't have the belly for a real high price, but she is one of the larger ones I've caught. I am just hoping for 350 or more if possible.

Well there is a cat with a #3 jump trap on its foot. I believe its the world record cat. The cat managed to tear up a 5 in sage brush branch and get away. Watch out for this beast. Guys have a good end of the season and I'll post a pic if I find the ONE

Hey cattrapper, know anyone with a hound? I lost an animal in a trap once and the next day got a friend who had a couple of hounds who went out with me and we found a long tail kitty in it about 3/4 of a mile from the place where the trap was set.

Thanks Ridgeback. That is usually my summer toy but if snow is too deep like 6-8" my quad will get hicentered and no go?? This one works great and I got to bring some friends for show and tell. The ride was nice but the catching was 0 because of all of the snow.

Did you see any cat tracks traveling on your line? Snow also make is good and bad if you have someone who is stealing from you. You can see how many and size of the people, but they can also track you from set to set. Of course, we all would like to see cold and clear weather. Has some of that this year, but I wasn't able to take advantage of most of it. When does you cat season end?

no, i dont, i sold all my cats already except one, i am getting it tagged tomorrow, going to get it skinned in the morning, for a kansas cat, my average was really good for these cats, nothing like your guys, but really good for me

got back on track with keeping a cat on in my trap. at one point it was hanging on a ledge and the only thing keeping it up was my trap. I will try and post apic asap.

well i screwed up today, got in a hurry skinning out the last cat, split the tail and forgot to pull down the back some more, popped about a fourth of the tail off, man was i pissed

It happens? Let it dry good and then line it back up good and hot glue it. I have done a few that way and it works.

I had a big 0 today but enjoyed the beautiful day doing what I enjoy.

well i had another crappy day the other day, fell at work, screwed up my neck pretty bad, not broken but i am in alot of pain except for when the pain pills are working good, waiting on the full results of the ct scan to see what is wrong
