Hey Jim I can't speak for the rest of the State but it has sure been Slow down in my neck of the woods in southern Nevada.
However Tracy is posting pic's of his connections  Cool  so I don't know .. I'm just along for the ride..
Maybe it is total number of set's I'm only running 40 set's, in two lines..

So far my count is only 3-Cat's , 6- Grey's..
The weather down here is way to nice Sunshine and 60deg. sunny

Hoping for a change..
Good Luck to ya ....Fred

Yes the weather here in southeastern Oregon has been sunshine and 40s. I was just wondering I know the cats run every where without snow to put them in our canyons. I am becoming an expert on catching long tails, 5 so far they are taking over! We have no coyotes this year I only have 27 I have always had no less than 60 at this time. I think the long hot summer and last spring helecopter shoot took its toll. Jim

What is the regs there on catching them lions ?
Here we are not allowed to trap them and when we do the protocol is to contact Fish&Game they come out and tranquilize it , make sure it's fit for service , then release them.
It appears that those trappers around here that have large populations of lions ( which seems to be State wide) Tie hard and Fast so that when they hit the end the pop out.
I have not had the pleasure of a lion in a trap yet. But they are around so I'm sure it's a matter of time.. fred

We cannot trap them either. They will pull out of my traps. Sometimes they do go 50 or 100 yards depending on the drag. I have only seen one when I walked up on the set he took off at a 100 mph with a drag rock hitting him in the a-- every time his feet hit the ground it was a show!

Hi Jim

im stuck at 17, a fellow member of my fishing club had 18 as of Saturday, another local has 14 cats in only 3 weeks of trapping, his must be in dam good area.
and then there's a father / son team that has 23 cats as of a week ago.
well good luck to you and happy new years.
