| Snow is a bummer and will shut you down if you let it!! Try finding some south facing slopes that have burned off. Ridge lines that lead down to hunting or spots that you would trap. | |

| For us its been won of those years were the cats walk right on by. They don't seem to care a bought the set.. No matter what kind of lure or anything else. Ive had other people tell me the same thing.. But hang in there things will start getting better as the season progresses... | |

| You can also make a moch catch set. Tear it up a little and spray some pee around the set? Hope it gets better for you all. In NV its been pretty slow too. | |

| Checked yesterday and had a smaller cat walk within 20 feet. Sure is frustrating. Made four more sets so hopefully its a numbers game. The more steal you have the better your chances I hope. Thanks for the info guys good luck.

| catmando and cat man. i hope that fur starts piling high for u guys. I have a buddy near cedar city that has hit his limit already with some nice Toms. He is upset that his limit is already maxed out. He tells me that in his area there are a tracks galore. He is first year trapper for cats but tells me he had to hit it really hard and make some long hikes to get to areas others wont go.
hang in there they will fill your strecthers. | |

| About the same here in cagerado. I have had numerous refusals in the cages already. I have tried different baits, lures and setups in the cages. They work the heck out of the cage but won't comit...... | |

| Been really slow in my area. Set on sign, but until today, nothing. I had a couple of cats work the sets, but with all the snow we got, had 15 inches of snow over one set that was worked and about 10 inches over the other. Too bad as I had to pull the traps because I have to head back to work in North Dakots very soon. Hope they are still around when I get back in late January. | |

| checked yesterday and followed a cat right to my walk through set only to see his tracks stop just 8 inches away from the pan. Have no idea what he saw or smelled. Any ideas? | |

| If we knew those answers we would all have lots of extra cats. They are just weird that way. Sometimes they have no issues walking thru and sometimes like u seen no way jose'. You can try attractors or scent on both sides of the set? | |

| So I found some fresh sign yesterday in a new area, and decided I was going to pull out of my higher area (six sets) and move to the new spot. I was almost to my last set (a double walk through) and I hear the chain rattling. And to my suprise a really nice cat. Still going to move to the new area. How do we post pics? | |

| Same story here. I caught two cats early in the season and they both had more than normal belly fat. I'm wondering if the groceries aren't better this year and they aren't moving much. If you aren't right on top of them when you set then you probably aren't going to connect. I'm hoping that with this cold snap we're having that they will be moving more looking for more calorie intake. | |

| Well, on the bright side, if in fact the groceries are better this year, the females will possibly produce more kittens this coming spring and there will be more cats next year. I have noticed that the rabbit population is much better than it has been in the last four winters. Rabbit tracks everywhere in the snow. 4 years ago, I would only see a few rabbit tracks around very heavy cover. So, this is a bitter-sweet situation for us all. | |

| Had a good couple of weeks and was able to catch my last two cats. Sure wish Utah didnt have a three cat limit. Cant really complain, it's the first time I have limited out. Hope everyone is doing well. | |
