| Well I didn't do my season thread last year and when I was in Utah was asked if I was still going to do it... well here goes! 46 days from now I will be putting my cat line in the ground! Found a couple of toilets while elk hunting earlier this year. Am planning a short line through that country. Last weekend we went to the Utah Rondy gotta watch a demo from Coloradocat and cameron2! | |

| Nice looking setup, one thing you might consider adding to that would be a drawer between your wheel wells under your totes. Comes in real handy to store all the little extra stuff in and for the extra storage gained you only lose a little bit in height. You can get heavy duty glides up to 6’ long and then everything is right there when you pull it out, no climbing in the bed for it. | |

| As of now the wood is just temporary to see how it works and easy to modify. The next one will be made out of metal. I do really like the idea of the box under the boxes too!!! Thanks | |

| Nice thread and great pics Lance. Nice truck set up. And those cat toilets are gold mines.
Best of luck this season.
I have been out scouting recently. Finding enough sign in enough places to get fired up. Funny how you can visit an old line and find good locations that you didn't notice before. With more experience your perspective changes about locations.

| No I put the enlarged pans on from Wild River Traps and then coated them with adhesive. Then covered them in juniper duff and waxed over them. Turned out great. | |

Bucks, I have a lot of recent pics on my cell phone. But photoshop and I don't get along.
Is there a better way to post pics?

| I like the Photobucket app works well... when it works properly I had to pull my line about 10 days ago for a Out of town work trip. Got back out today. Going to try and catch this guy before he ruins my cat set. Anyone else ever snare a badger... make a mess?!? | |

| The wyldwings and silvervine have put many a cats on the stretchers for me this year! Tracy has designed one heck of a product! The cat I caught in the cage had one of the wyldwings in the back with silvervine on it also... between the movement you get from them along with the sound there is no other dangler around that can even compare! I have a feeling he has more up his sleeve that will hit the market after cat season is wrapped up. | |

| I totally agree desertmuley and nvsage. I am using both products plus some others he has helped me with. Traps, enlarged pans, No pan covers, and some other lures. Great guy and well deserving of the praise. Let you know what I find during next check.

| I did find something I haven't seen before. This looks like to me a couple coyotes beds? tons of tracks and some dirty snow where they laid. Of course right next to one of my old sets. Going to have to throw some nvsage sets in to help thin the herd. | |

| John Sullivan once said in a demo that he believes the blocking can be a lure in itself to a set.
And yep I don't leave my truck without my hand saw... easier that tearing sage out of the ground.

| I carry a rose bush shearer for junipers.
But most times in the desert I stomp on certain plants and break them off. (Others you don't dare get near them and/or they won't break off even if you tried). Faster to gather an armful then clipping them. And I like an armful for each side of the set.
Jed and Tracy and I have all evolved into making bigger and brushier fences for blocking. Quite a bit of eye appeal. And that little opening to squeeze through seems to be very attractive to cats for some reason. Takes more time and effort but I don't think many cats find one of these sets and don't get caught.
I enjoy making sets. Thank God cause it takes so much effort to get out a decent line.

| Good job Wackmaster. Only caught 4 cats in 2 months of trapping. The weather sure hammered me!!! multiple times I had over 6" of snow thru my line. Lot's of cleaning and prepping. Traps held up well with new pans and Duff that I glued to them. Wish I would have caught more but happy with what I did catch. | |
