PostSubject: Colorado Trappers Assoc. Auction   Colorado Trappers Assoc. Auction EmptyWed Dec 14, 2016 9:53 pm

Just a reminder for you coyote guys. Colorado's auction is Feb 8-9 2017. Fur must be received or taken at the door no later than Feb 5th.

Not to toot our own horn, but Colorado had the highest average nationwide last year. We are known as the coyote sale of the west, just as NV is known as the big daddy of cat sales. If interested this year please keep us in mind. You can contact me here, or 970-268-5554. Remember we sell anything that has hair, fur, bone or horn, leather. Tanned or raw. Just for reference we had the best averages on coyote, red fox, antler last season.

Commission is 7.5% if your a member of any trappers assoc. 10% if non member. 2% for minimum bids.
There is a coyote order floating around of 50K. CO will be the first big sale that will have any number of coyotes. Of course heavys are what they are looking for, but the harvest will be off this year so that makes the semis look pretty darn good. There is a market for commercial types but at what levels is unknown.

Colorado Update:

Im working you NV guys,LOL

The interest is high on coyotes.  Word has it that the harvest is way off.  Chit chat around the west is the early nice weather, and then instant winter has put the damper on some of big producer areas of coyotes.  With this week being probably the end for coyotes in most areas, although some places will carry on for a couple more weeks, buyers will be scrambling to put together a collection.

What has been told to me, via buyers, is that the CO sale is primed to have the perfect timing again.  FHA received very few coyotes, NAFA coyote sale will be spring, and most western auctions will not have enough for a coyote specific sale.   Colorado has agreed to participate with a end user with there point of origin requests, and there legally harvested requests as well.  What that means to trappers and fur harvesters is that CO auction will be attended by that end user.

My selling point to you guys is this.  Everyone is looking for that select heavy 1-2 coyote, there is not many of them out there.  When that item is bought up, the top end of the semi's looks pretty good, and so on.  There is enough knockoffs of the top parka company now, that with a knockoff it comes with a lower grade of fur.  The perfect storm is in place, how it will play out is the big question.

If you guys could pool your shipments or even some how leap frog them to CO I think it is a good time. Let me know, Colorado is certainly interested in your coyotes this year.

The northern guys in Ely are putting together a run to meet me in Green River Utah end of January.
if everyone can get together North and south we can meet the same day and make it work. Coyotes and antler will do well here. Grey, swifts, ringtails, always in demand from our craft buyers.

Let us know what we can do to make thing happen.

I am planning on being in Green River Utah, Monday Jan.30th 10am if any one wants fur or antler  hauled to this sale.

We have over 3000 coyotes due in and buyers from every market. Good fox with feet are being requested by the craft buyers.

Anyone looking for tanned fur, let me know. I could certainly be a proxy bidder for you. You name it, we probably have it tanned.
