| Coyote and water fur trapping is in full swing. And cat season is several days away. From my early observations, cats are on the rebound, rabbit numbers are up, and the weather may be challenging this winter. I want to wish everyone on here a happy and successful trapping season.
Like is said with that saying about fishing: the worst day on the trapline is better than the best day in the office.

| Thanks rockpile. It is shaping up to be a different weather pattern this season then recent ones for sure. Like you said, I would take my worst day on the trap line over most any day at work as well. Good luck to you. | |

| Nice haul of greys Tracy. They can be really tricky with digging from the sides.
That ringtail has the most spectacular tail I have ever seen. Taxidermist dream.

| Thanks rockpile, the weather has certainly made coyote trapping a challenge! Every time I set out a new area heavy we get 8 inches or more of son and tons on wind. How's the coyote line going this fall for you? | |

| Don,
I am having weather problems in Central Nevada as well. Lot of snow then it melts into lots of mud. My truck was unrecognizable the other day from the mud.
Have been catching some coyotes, best day was eight, and fox (kits and greys), but missing a lot with the mud.

| Thanks rockpile, I can't wait to set again this weekend. May have dodged a bullet last week with the snow not having traps out. I had over a foot at my house. It's not fun checking coyote sets it the dark with over a foot of snow. I am looking forward to trapping cats for a few weeks this year and will also be trying some new things with the great info I learned at the rondy. | |
