| Dirt holes have caught almost every yote for me this year. I have a ton of flat sets and urine post but rarely connect on them. I have the Casper auger bit and drill all of my dirt holes then throw some powder river paste bait in the hole. That's what also picked up a cat for me this year. All the cat sets I have out are heavily guided exposed #3 dbls with large pans and a shingle glued to the pan. I use at least 3 different lures at every cat sets with some urine. | |

| I like to use buried sets and guided sets for cats and grey fox, i havent tried more than 1 lure at a set. I have used 2 baits though for cat.

| My favorite cat set is one that catches cats! With that being said, dirt holes and walk through sets are my two favorites and the most productive sets I've used. On the walk through, I use a good strong call lure placed about 5 to 6 feet above ground level. This will cause cats to investigate the area and with good set construction, cause them to use the walk through where the trap is set. Dirt holes have probably taken more cats through the years as trappers will set them for other animals, and cats will investigate anything that might provide a meal, will come to those type of sets. | |

| I use almost always a good crouded walkthru set. Stepping sticks and guide sticks make sure to guide your cat. Also the correct pan tentsion is key![img] [/img] | |

| I have been using quite a few walk through sets, no luck yet, but i am patiently waiting. Here is a double walk through. This one was caught at a dirthole set (which I really like) it was right on the edge of a wash with a dead tree as backing. https://2img.net/h/i1140.photobucket.com/albums/n574/varmstro/Bobcat1.jpg | |

| Bucks. that's a lot of scat at that set. I'd make 4 sets with that many. You use a lot of dowels, it looks like. Do you use them to bed the traps as well? Nice looking sets and they work. | |

| My favorite cat set is Bucks above (the one trap) and the trash mound. For K9, it's the dirt hole.
