So I have been out scouting and can not decide where to trap. I have gone as high as 7000 feet in one area and did not find any cat signs. But have heard of guys pulling cats out of this general area. In another area I did not see any cat signs but when I was in the foothills I found some, all areas are trees and rocks. All three area look great. what do you guys think?

I say go with your thoughts. If you are finding sign lower then set there. Lots of time to move around. Go where you see the sign first.

Start higher and move down. Thinking better fur. A heavy duty cat guy I know said "set all cat places, sign or no sign". Good advice.
