When in the Navy I was stationed in Kingsville, Tx for awhile. Hottest, most humid, buggiest place I have ever lived.

Overrun with predators and rattle snakes. A hawk on every pole.

Even saw an ocelot cross a road one night. Or maybe it was a very small mt. lion with spots. I know it had a long tail.

My cousin was the Marine Air Wing Commander there, for a few years. David Danner. Know him?

Never met the man. At my paygrade, if I would have, I would have been in a heap of trouble.

He left there and retired as Commander of the Marine Air Wing at Boston Naval Air Station. Then he became a high school teacher. Haha. Yeah that country has more critters than anyone would believe, as harsh as it is.
