| I caught my first bobcat on Christmas eve. I was wondering how long you should leave a trap in one area and if you should move it after you catch one? Im using cage traps as that is all that is allowed in Colorado. Thanks for the info. | |

| i would leave it there for a while, the ole tom cats should be starting to prowl and check for females, plus it is all cat smelling from the first catch, good attractant | |

| leave it alone for awhile. The first cat in the cage is the toughest. Like others have stated, the added scent from the first cat really helps the second comit. | |

| ditto, that set is just now getting hot. She left enough odor there for a month. Highmesa, you ready to hunt yet? Own snow-shoes? | |

| I had to move the trap I caught the cat in. Someone completely destroyed my set and was probably coming back to steal or damage the trap but I got there in time. Luckily I had my cage locked to the tree and had a secondary cable around my trap door so they couldnt steal the door either. Pissed about it but I did keep the contents of the cage and moved the whole set up about a mile. Hopefully I dont get another visit from the !@#$#@!! | |
