Just wanted to report how much I have enjoyed this site. A bobcat ate 16 of our laying hens. We are farmers, not hunters so we had to recruit help. A young man baited his trap with beaver as you suggest, and it took two weeks (because the cat preferred chicken!), but we got him Christmas eve. It was a great Christmas present to get rid of the terror of the barnyard.
