ive been targeting cats for a few seasons now but have not had much luck how much does elevation meen what elevation do you utah guys find to be the best ive been trapping at or below 6000

From what I have seen elevations biggest effect is the different weather patterns you have at different elevations. Too much snow or rain really hurt me. Then again so does fog. As far as catching them though location is the key and sometimes in those higher elevations it can be tough to pinpoint travel routes. While some of the lower elevations have certain distiguishable features.

i have a buddy in southeasten utah he catches all his cats above 7000 feet his biggest problem is the wind he says it will move even big rocks out of his sets
