Look for something like to rear it's ugly head in Idaho, then Oregon and Utah.
Especially if Idaho gets wolf trapping. See major wrecks coming down the line. Already some hunting groups are gearing up to log all incindents that occur while they are out hunting.

Looks like the wolf trapping in idaho is pretty close to reality. It has been approved as a method, just no regulations set yet.

As far as Utah we have one good thing going for us Proposition 5 which was passed in 1998. Essentially it states that any ballot initiatives pertaining to wildlife issues will require a 2/3 majority to change wildlife policy.

Will be interesting to see how this all shakes out.
Glad Montana won, but next time they'll regroup better and just might get it done. Heard they went to every Vet shop in the state and set up there for everyone to sign the petition.

Still sitting on the side lines on this wolf trapping thing. It will also be interesting to see how it all shakes out too.

Does anyone have any knowledge on how to set for them?
How to do anything when it comes to wolf trapping in the lower 48?

Check out the Alaska Trappers Association site for setting for wolf. They have good info on trapping and snaring them. I've worked on the north slope of Alaska in the oil fields and seen wolves there. I also lived for a short time in Alaska and its a different world trapping up there. The good side is, once you learn to trap Alaska, everywhere is not as bad. Minus 80 degrees is tough to run a line in. I'm living in Idaho now and we do have the ability to hunt and trap wolves. Can only trap them in the northern half of the state though, which sucks for me as I live and trap toward the southern end.
