anyone ever had one pull apart. i did last night, my pig tail was there but my snare was gone, quick connect still attached to the chain, threads pulled apart, i had a 3/16 link there, should i go bigger for cats and yotes?

Yep, haven't used them for years.
They are a weak link in the system.

Build the end of the snare with a adjustable end.
Anchor with either a kill pole, short stake, fence post what ever is handy depends of the location.
